FU Crystal Ball: Doom 4

Yes, you read that right! Doom 4 is in the works by ID Software. Its Wikipedia official! Apparently it isn’t a sequel or a remake. Its a completely new installment to the universe. On June 23, 2009, ZeniMax Media, best known for Bethesda Softworks, acquired id Software and announced that all future id Software games will be published by Bethesda Softworks, Doom 4 being one (in addition to Rage and future Quake titles). Does that mean that both ID and Bethesda will be combining awesome to make one of the best games ever? Its FAR to early to say but it sure will be interesting to watch how this unfolds. Doom is a big franchise that has a lot to live up to. I wouldn’t expect to hear much about this game till late in 2012. Maybe 2013…. Anyways, here is an unofficial picture to stimulate your visual orifices (there are no official screenshots yet):
