I’ve always been a bigger fan of Co-op rather than competitive versus modes (what can I say? I’m a friendly asshole) which is why this video interview is really exciting.
Zipper’s lead designer Travis Steiner goes into detail about how you can choose your map, amount of enemies, difficulty, objective, etc and string several of these instances together (seamlessly) to create your own custom co-op campaign. He also mentions that there’s random elements to missions that’ll always keep the game feeling different.
It’s clearly not as customizable as a game like Modnation, or LittleBigPlanet, but for a third person shooter it really is a welcome addition.
Socom 4 hits April 19th with Move+3d support on the Ps3.
