There’s apparently a Dead Space movie being made (as well as a lot of other game-movies, including an Uncharted movie that I hope never sees the light of day) it’s being directed by D.J Caruso. Since Caruso is doing a tour for his latest movie (I am number four) he’s asked in an interview about Dead Space.
The cool thing about this possible movie is that Caruso seems to of actually played Dead Space, and really enjoyed it, he even says that if he can convey the horror in the game; on screen that he’ll be happy. He also says it’s the “scariest game he’s ever played” So it looks like with the exception of hiring a producer behind Twilight, that Caruso may end up making a good movie that actually respects the franchise unlike some of Hollywoods more shamefully careless attempts at making game movies.
