Dead Space 3 has been under some controversy since its pre-E3 announcement. Many fans believe Dead Space 3 is taking the series away from its horror origins due to the addition of a co-op mode, and the brighter open/outdoor snowy planet setting.
This 20 minute Dead Space 3 demo should confirm, or refute the suspicions many fans of the series have. Personally, I can see where fears are being drawn from, and Dead Space 3 does have quite a bit of action; but at the same time the co-op is optional, and a harsh snowy environment provides creepy white out/blizzard opportunities where an enemy can sneak up on Isaac Clarke without you seeing, or hearing the enemy until they’re coming after you. And there’s also caves for a more traditional dark horror environment.
Dead Space 3 is dropping February 2013 for the: PC, Ps3, and Xbox 360.
