Treyarch Describes Black Ops 2 as “An Event”

With the Call of Duty series grossing much more than most movies, thinking of Black Ops 2 as an “event” isn’t exactly an unfair statement.

But what’s frustrating about a movie event (that also applies here) is when you don’t care about the mammoth release in question, the hype, and current cultural importance can be a hard thing to get around, and that’s partially why so many people get swept into an event like this, the momentum carries many who normally wouldn’t care otherwise.

When you are looking forward to an event though, you can often find yourself flourishing in the community driven excitement.
