“I’ll drop like a beast, and flip the kill switch”
Rap was founded on angry black ‘gangstas’ who’re too cool to sing, muscially expressing how badass, and dangerous they are, and that remained mostly unchanged until the advent of internet video sharing. But since sites like YouTube burst onto the scene, rapping has also served as a popular way to mock, or parody anything of interest to those willing to record themselves.
The rap above is kind of a mixture between those two different kinds of raps, yes it’s about Battlefield 3, but the lyrics are incredibly threatening (in a strictly digital context of course) in a way that harkens back to traditional black rappers. It truly is an excellent rap with great diverse lyrics. My only beef with the rap is the shitty chorus.
