Happy MAX PAYNE 3 Day To All

So it has finally arrived over eleven years from Max Payne 2, but it has come, Hell has frozen over. Most of our readers have probably never played Max Payne 1 or 2 and if you’re amongst them then it’s tea bag time for you. However, if you’re a more ~~mature~~ seasoned gamer, then you have not only played the shit out of Max Payne 1 and 2, you have probably called in sick today to play Max Payne 3, “I’m in bed with a nasty clown,” or in our case “I’m in bed dick up to my eyes.” okay, okay, I know I’m no comedian but hey everyone nowadays gets an A+ just for showing up. I thought long and hard about a Max Payne 3 review and even my own personal FUG video review which we have never done. But 3 beers later and 1 hour into the Max Payne 3, I figured I could just repost the excellent gamespot video review and get myself back to the game. So if you’re reading this looking for a review of some sort, then here is a brief review……. Why the fuck are you reading this? The title of the game is MAX PAYNE 3 , are you a retarded Wal-Mart employee? Get your ass off the couch and buy this game NOW maggots

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Detailed

WB Games has confirmed the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. It includes what you’d expect, and a couple surprising extras. Mortal Kombat’s Komplete Edition includes:

The 5 DLC characters (Kenshi , Skarlet , Rain , Freddy Krueger)
Mortal Kombat’s soundtrack: ‘Songs Inspired by the Warriors’
A voucher to download a copy of the original 1995 Mortal Kombat film
15 ‘Klassic’ character costumes
3 ‘Klassic’ Fatalities for Mortal Kombats original three ninjas (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile)

Warner Bros hasn’t confirmed how much it’ll cost, though I’d call a regular retail price a little steep (bare in mind most of those ‘Klassic’ character skins were free) Also while I’m being bitter, I’m not a big fan of the fact that the voucher is for the downloadable version of the movie. I understand on the Xbox 360, but on the Ps3′s side, it’d be great to just flip over to the Video side of the XMB to play the video, mine as well leverage that extra Blu-Ray space.

Devil May Cry HD Collection

The first three Devil May Cry games are being released in a collection for the Ps3, and Xbox 360 with Trophy/Achievement support. The games included are: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry Dante’s Awakening Special Edition.

The collection is hitting April 3rd, and will reportedly come with unspecified goodies, I’m guessing something to help market the new Devil May Cry game like a demo, or downloadable content for the new reboot.

Max Payne 3 Preview

Max Payne 3 is set to release on March 2012, and I suggest you mark that date in your calendar. Because this alcoholic bastard is pissed off.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the Max Payne series, whether you were too young or too busy boozing your way through school, here is a recap. The original Max Payne was released way back on December 11, 2001. Max Payne was ground breaking with its bullet time slowdowns, pain killer health display and its dark storyline. With the huge success of Max Payne and the desire of fans to continue the story, spawned the release of May Payne 2 on November 25, 2003. The follow up title never did live up to all the hype, and honestly, it never had a chance. The bar from the first May Payne was set too high and could never be met. But Max Payne 2 sold well and has since had fans awaiting a third, and now the wait is almost over.

Epic To Announce Brand New Game At Spikes VGAs

A new game franchise is going to be announced by Cliff Blezenski from Epic Games (Gears Of War, Infinity Blade, Published Bulletstorm) on Saturday during Spikes Video Game ~~Announcement~~ Awards show. Given Epics violent AAA track record, it’s sure not to disappoint. `

If you miss the awards show don’t worry, as I’m sure I’ll have some information on the game, as well as everything else noteworthy that gets announced.

South Park Game Details Revealed!

GameInformer has revealed a ton of details on the new South Park game we spoke about yesterday.

Essentially it’s a funny epic RPG overseen and written by Matt Stone, and Trey Parker where you play as the new kid trying to fit in. Your character is fully customizable, and you get to choose between 5 different character classes (Wizard, Paladin, Adventurer, Rogue, 5th is unannounced). The combat is similar to Paper Mario, and the story evolves from the neighborhood kids playing around in costumes, to a real adventure. The game reportedly looks strikingly similar to an episode of South Park.

South Park Game Incoming!

If you love South Park, then you’ll need this game

There’s a South Park game coming out for the Ps3, Xbox 360, and PC in the second half of 2012. Normally that wouldn’t be a huge deal, as South Park has already been in the title of a couple games, but the only thing most South Park games have in common with the show is the characters, and setting.

Why’s this South Park game so special? Because Matt Stone, and Trey Parker (creators/writers/voice actors of South Park) are going to be voicing, writing, and overseeing the entire game! ‘South Park: The Game’ is being called a “full scale RPG” and it’s being developed by THQ’s Obsidian development arm.

Game Informer has its cock in this exclusive story, so they’ll be the first to release new information in their magazine next week, but you can bet we’ll follow up with details. Until then there’s an expanded version of the picture above. The first is Gameinformers magazine cover which is a more vertical view of the above picture, and it shows the reflection of the main characters in the water, but the reflections are wearing “we’re in an RPG” type costumes. Then there’s another picture that expands horizontally from that to show a whole slew of characters including Satan, and Manbearpig, and Santa Claus so….

Dead Island Banned In Germany

We haven’t spoken about Dead Island in a little while, mostly because the game released back in September, but despite the Dead Island already being on store shelves for months, the Germans ‘Federal Department of Media Harmful to Young Persons’ are banning it. But it looks like Dead Islands Developer, and publisher have told Eurogamer that they were well aware of the potential for this to happen:

“This isn’t unexpected, Germany has its unique regulations regarding video games and violence and the industry can only comply. Both Deep Silver and Techland were aware of such a possibility from the very beginning.”

the FDOMHTYP (even the Federal Department of Media Harmful to Young Persons acronym is long) has classified the game under “List B” which is usually where you find media with extreme torture, or Nazi content (the Germans don’t like to be reminded that they were responsible for the most horrific war, and genocide of human history for some reason)

The reason Dead Island is being banned hasn’t been made public.

100 Ways To Die In Skyrim

In the Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim you can die several ways, 100? not quite, the dude used key commands for humorous effect on some of these, though it’s unclear part of the time because as youve probably heard by now: Skyrim is an open world bug infested utopia. Either way the video is hilarious, and definitely a hearty entertaining time. Also heads up, bears are fucking terrifying.

Gears Of War 3 Free Maps

Gears Of War 3′s ‘Horde Command Pack’ is available now for $15 dollars (google it for details) because what I find most interesting is the free maps that come with the pack regardless of if you purchase it or now.

The ‘Booster Map Pack’ includes these new maps: Azura, Blood Drive and Rustlong, along with altered versions of Bulletmarsh and Clocktower.

Good stuff, reminds me of Mortal Kombats “Compatibility packs” that gave free classic outfits for MK characters already on the disk, check the related posts for more on that (click on this post if you’re on the home page)
