Max Payne 3 Multiplayer = Uncharted 3 With Bullet Time

If you’ve been watching for updates on Max Payne 3 and more importantly, Max Payne 3′s multiplayer, then you should be as happy as a pig in shit. Because, not only will the multiplayer incorporate the infamous Bullet Time from the previous games, but the setup is similar to our own beloved Uncharted 3′s multiplayer, and that’s great news. Now I’m in no way suggesting that Max Payne 3′s single player or multiplayer will be better than or even equal to Uncharted 3′s , but here’s to hoping. Back on last generation consoles, and especially back in 2001-2002 with the first Max Payne. It was the game to play, it was the console seller, it was the shiznit, before shiznit was even a word. So sit back and enjoy the video… and I’ll see you online on launch day.

Ubisoft’s DRM Preventing You From Playing Their Games Next Week

Ubisoft is moving some servers around next week, unfortunately Ubisoft also has some pretty harsh “always-online” DRM for a couple of titles, where you have to always be online, and connected to their servers in order to play the game (including single player)

Ubisofts PC titles that are equipped with the always-on DRM, and wont work at all while the move takes place include: Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2, Might & Magic: Heroes 6, and The Settlers 7.

The Mac games affected are: Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell Conviction and The Settlers.

All other Ubisoft games should work as long as they’re initially connected to Ubisofts servers. Multiplayer modes on all Ubisoft titles across all platforms will be in-specifically “impacted” as well.

Hard to feel any actual ownership over a game when in order to play that title it requires a suspicious publishers prying cock up your ass hey?

Super Asian CGI: Nintendo Is Bleeding Cash

NMA are great because they create completely over the top CGI videos of gaming news, all deeply coated with stereotypical Asian game show like absurdity.

In this video NMA reports on the trouble Nintendo has been in lately, so get ready for children puking because “the 3DS makes people sick” mario stealing massive amounts of cash from seniors, Sony+Microsoft beating Nintendo over the head with their respective consoles, and plenty of other  wonderful animated manifestations of Nintendos financial plummet.

God I love Asians sometimes.

Insomniac’s Finished With Resistance

Ted Price CEO of Insomniac Games (Ratchet/Clank, Resistance, Overstrike) announced the end of Insomniacs involvement with the Resistance franchise, in an interview with VG247:

“We won’t be making any more Resistances,”

This is probably heart breaking for Insomniac fans around the world, but I don’t see it as such a bad thing.

On one hand Sony has lost a gifted developer working exclusively to bring a fairly well known FPS to their flagship console. But on the other hand think of how amazing the Resistance series could become going forward if it gets a more narrative/story driven developer working on the franchise. What makes Resistance great is the unique concept; there’s never been widespread praise regarding a Resistance title for it’s gameplay, story telling, or even graphics (these individual facets are always somewhat behind the competition) give Resistance to Sucker Punch Productions, Naughty Dog, or (back) to Sony Bend and I imagine you’ll wind up with a much deeper story driven Resistance than Insomniac could ever produce.

Insomniac may be done with Resistance, but Sony isn’t.

THQ Focusing On Hard Core Games

A lot of rumors have been spiraling around about THQ lately. Some people say THQ has cancelled it’s 2013 line up, in order to cut their losses, and make themselves more attractive for a buy out. More recently some have said that THQ set aside a deal with Disney to develop, and publish several games based on children’s properties Disney owns. That’s all rumor, but at the end of this, THQ has now announced what the hell’s up.

XBOX 720 Fall 2013 Release Date, Will be 6 Times More Powerful

The next Xbox is rumored to ship out next November 2013 just in time for Christmas shopping.  Xbox 720 is estimated to be 6 times more powerful than current generation consoles. The system’s GPU is based on AMD’s 6000 series and similar to the Radeon HD6670. Which offers DirextX 11 support as well as multidisplay output, 3D and 1080p output. That makes the Xbox 720′s graphic power 6 times greater than current Xbox 360 and a 20% superior performance over Nintendo’s Wii U. Stay tuned for more updates

Skyrims Ps3 ‘Lag’ Glitch To Be Fixed This Month

For a while now Skyrim on the Ps3 has been suffering from a bug that would lower Skyrims frame rate immensely, to the point of looking like a porno being streamed through your neighbors 15% Wi-Fi signal.

This has been confirmed to be a memory management issue where Skyrim is essentially saving every minute interaction with the game world, and the Ps3 version has an issue rendering all of these simultaneous in-game alterations due to  poor code optimization on Bethesda’s behalf.

Skyrims update to version 1.4 is supposed to “Address this issue” and so far we don’t have a concrete date, just a promise that it’ll arrive some time this month.
