Fuck Firewalls

Ever want to play online games only to find out that your school/library/hotel has a fucking firewall that wont let you access gaming ports? Well fuck the man, I say! Here is a little something that may get you online.

Keep in mind that you will be breaking rules, or even laws in some cases by doing this. This post is merely informative and is not instructing you to break firewalls. Infact we entirely discourage it, but hackers gonna hack, and we wont stand in your way by withholding information.

If you are attending college, or many other schools in the Midwest and are an avid online gamer you might notice a problem when you move into that new dorm. Many schools block online gaming in their dorms to prevent student from having fun and forcing them to do tedious school work. I know I had this problem while in school.

Now THATS a firewall!

Don’t worry though, there is a solution to your problem. There are programs out there that let you “tunnel” through those firewalls and get back to saving the world from your choice of evil villain. http://bit.ly/gekGwU is an in depth guide on how to install and get set up to get through those firewalls. There are of course other ways and other programs, but this one works, and has minimal lag compared to other programs out there. Happy gaming!

The Duke Can Fly, Baby

A little bit of information about Duke Nukem Forever’s online was released in the last issue of Official Xbox Magazine. Here are some of the features you can expect when the game comes out on the third of May this year:

  • DukeMatch, Team DukeMatch, Capture the Babe, and King of the Hill
  • XP and XP unlocks (unlocks will be aesthetic only and most likely not effect gameplay)
  • Fucking Jetpack! (I fucking LOVE jetpacks)
  • Map and Player Mutators (things that change game dynamics such as sizes, speeds, and gravity)
  • The ability to still fight while mutated
  • 10 OMP Maps on which to fuck some bitches up, including one homage map called Duke Burger

SPACE LIZARDS!

Resistance 3 Online Shrinks

Tis true! The R2 online player count was up to 40 people per match. R3 is going to have 16… You may be asking why? Well its because the developers felt that R2′s online was a little to frenetic and mayhem-filled, so now they are focusing on smaller, more focused, more tactical online gameplay. Anyway, Insomniac released this trailer that shows what I’m talking about. The chaos has been assembled and condensed so now, you can focus on outsmarting your opponent, as opposed to the old who-sees-who-first style.

Infamous 2 Play, Create, Share

What you can do now in Infamous 2 is create your own missions in the game. Ok this is fucking badass, I think this is a very sweet idea. So Sucker Punch (creator of Infamous) is basically making a LittleBigPlanet style editor with a sandbox game which I think is awesome. Some of the missions you can create are defensive missions, escorting, platforming, and whatever you can think of.

Infamous 2 comes out on June 7th for the PS3

Playstation Home Club Live!

Thats riiight~

Go Home bitches!

We now have a Playstation Home Group in our name! To get in, all you have to do is go on Home, search the clubs for FU Games (yes there is a space), and request to join. I will probably check it twice a month. Right now, the Clubhouse is fully stocked with pizza, soda machines, tables, chairs, knickknacks, arcade machines… and a bed in the corner that we will hedonisticly refer to as “the love bunk” >=]

Now you may be asking yourself, whats fucked up about Home? only two things really, It isn’t fucked up, but we are. and you can meet us there are predisposed times =D

The second reason is that it cost me ACTUAL money to create, and if that isn’t fucked, then I don,t know what is. D=
Anyway, I will check Home more often than usual in the next few days to see is anyone joins. Hope to meet some of our loyal readers! For all you Xboxers, sorry, but i don’t know what the Xbox equivalent is. When we get a dedicated Xbox blogger, Maybe I’ll get him to set… whatever it is (if anything at all) up!

Vietnam – Online after 10pm Banned

Apparently the Vietnamese government thought parents weren’t regulating their kids gaming time well enough, so they stepped in.

wow... just wow

In Vietnam, online gaming after 10:00 pm is now illegal. That means little nerds will actually have to SLEEP now, instead of game all night and become useless to society.

Oooohoho, but the government didn’t stop with regulating children’s online gaming internet use, EVERYONE is regulated. All ISPs in the country have been contacted by the Ministry of Information and Communication telling them to switch off access to online games between the hours of 10pm and 8am every day. Such limits have to be in place by March 3.

Any ISP deciding to disregard the request will have their service terminated, so it’s a mandatory rule everyone will have to follow. Deputy Minister Le Nam Thang made this clear:

Provincial departments of information and communication will inspect on-line games activities nationwide and deal with organizations that violate regulations by canceling their services.

China also implemented new measures to limit online gaming earlier this month, but not on such drastic a scale. While it seems no one can play games during a set period of time in Vietnam, China instead introduced the ability for parents to control their children’s access to such games.

God I love the US/Canada… Sure they watch what we do online, but they (usually) don’t tell us what we can/can’t do online… aside from the law of course.

Exovedate: Man I hate internet regulation. I think the only regulation/big brother bull shit that should ever go down is cops being able to contact an isp (with a warrant) to access information about a specific client. For example if a criminal is being charged as a terrorist, and the Government wants to ask a isp to provide info on the customer in order to find mutual (suspected terrorist) clients. Or another example would be someone being tried for child rape or some other form of sexual deviancy without mutual consent where the cops need more evidence to make a conviction.

Up here the CRTC wanted to make it so that all ISP’s in the country had to cap internet usage, and pay per use (the more you use, the more you pay) luckily the federal Government said “No fucking way” (give or take a swear word or two) but it’s still kinda scary the way internet regulation is going in some places. That’s why I’m a huge supporter of net neutrality. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_neutrality

OTRSPOD: Cheaper than Dirt

Penny Arcade’s “On The Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness” is on sale on the PSN (and I would hazard a guess that its on sale on XBL too). You get both Episode 1 &2 for the cheaper-than-dirt price of 3 dollars (USD)! I command thou to go forth and purchase these games!

Penny Arcade, the masterminds behind the 20 year running videogame news/comic website (www.penny-arcade.com) made two videogames recently with the help of Hothead. These games (EP. 1&2) are a fabulous adventure in comedy in the form of a turn-style RPG. You play as… you, but you play along side Tycho and Gabe (private detectives) who specialize in paranormal disturbances. After your home gets crushed by the king of the Fruit Fuckers (yes, this game is rated M) you join forces with the detectives to pay back vengeance against the metal monsters.

At launch, both games were $10 a peace, but due to poor sales, both games are now dirt cheap. For the life of me, I can’t understand why these games aren’t selling well…. I loved both of them!

AND TO ILLUSTRATE A POINT:

Dirt= $8

Cheap = $3

Seriously, you have no excuse

Better hurry though. This deal will probably not last longer than a week!

Dead Space Infection

Executive producer of Dead Space 2, Steve Papoutsis announced via Twitter that a new multiplayer suit has started to “infect” players today (Tweet was posted on Feb 7). The viral suit is of yellow urban design. It can be unlocked by killing someone who’s been infected. The first infection occurred earlier today when Steve and another designer jumped onto Dead Space 2′s multiplayer on both Xbox and PS3. All players need to do is kill another player who has the “infection”, thus unlocking the suit for themselves.

This is pretty cool idea. We’ve seen it before in achievements and trophies in the past. It works a little better here due to the games storyline focusing on infection an transformation. Hopefully there is more to be unlocked by killing players online in the future.

INFECTED!
